RIVER TRAILS
What could be better than enjoying a relaxing walk while listening to an adjacent babbling brook or people enjoying themselves on watercraft nearby? River trails typically follow a waterway on land, such as the shoreline of a lake, a river, or even a converted rail trail that previously followed a river. River trails tend to be much curvier and diverse in their scenery than typically straight rail trails. River trails also tend to have broad sweeping curves and gentle grades up and down, but may not connect locations as the trail primarily follows the river.
