WABASH RIVER TRAIL
The Wabash River Trail in Wabash County, Indiana, is a scenic and multi-functional pathway that extends approximately 7.5 miles from the Smith Street Trailhead, sharing its course through Paradise Spring Historical Park in Wabash, then extending out to Schmalzreid Road in Lagro, Indiana. The trail, which is fully paved, provides a variety of recreational opportunities and connects two vibrant communities along the Wabash River.
There is one section of about 3/4 of a mile where it pops out onto Old Lagro Road before returning to a paved trail along the river just outside Lagro city limits. There are also seasonal restroom facilities at the Smith Street trailhead in Wabash and downtown Lagro.
