SHARED USE
PATH / TRAIL
A shared use path is a trail that is designed for non-motorized travel. Most shared use paths are designed to explore areas that motorized traffic cannot go. Typically designed shared use paths avoid vehicular traffic, often avoiding roads or providing a grade separated method for crossing a road. Shared use paths are designed to be used by bicycles, pedestrians, joggers, skaters, and wheelchair users.
