SWEETSER SWITCH TRAIL
The Sweetser Switch Trail is a rail with trail running alongside an active rail line connecting the Cardinal Greenway with Sweetser, Mier, and Converse. The Sweetser Switch Trail also carries the Northern Route of the American Discovery Trail. It is a seven mile long trail that honors its railroad history in Sweetser with a display of railroading historical artifacts.

The Sweetser Switch Trail is the ideal place for walking, running, bicycling, roller blading and horseback riding. A paved and stoned trail stretches for one mile with beautiful landscaping, benches, shelters, and tables for picnics. The trail includes a 1916 wooden caboose, restored parlor car, and mail car for different recreational events. The Sweetser Switch Trail Pumpkin Walk is held annually in the latter part of October. Located 5 blocks South of State Road 18.
