Across Laughery Creek from Versailles State Park is the county seat, Versailles. The impressive Busching Covered Bridge crosses the Laughery Creek and marks the entrance to the State Park. Ripley County is also home to Milan High School, who in 1954 won the Indiana State Basketball Championship.
