Woolly Bear Parkway Trail

County:
Henry
City:
Kennard

Descriptions:

The Woolly Bear Parkway Trail (WBPT) is a multi-use rustic trail proposed to lie along a former section of the New York Central Railroad corridor between New Castle and Shirley, passing through Westwood and Kennard. The WBPT is open from Kennard west for 1.1 miles, it travels across relatively flat farmland with a tree lined grass surface. This portion of the WBPT was donated to Henry County by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Division of Outdoor Recreation.

I think this is one of the most mysterious trails I have had a chance to experience. Although a big sign shows the trail head, the trail itself is practically invisible, but with a leap of faith, it brings you inside a well maintained and very intimate 1.1 mile trail with a rich vegetation that gives you the feeling of becoming invisible too.
