Ok everyone, get ready for this...
The Mayor wants to go on a cold weather ride.and soon. I just got out of a
meeting with his marketing folks and here are the preliminary, save the date
details.
. Monday January 2nd of 2012
. Meet around 10:30am at the Bike Hub for coffee and light snacks
. We will depart at 11:00am and ride bike lanes all the way up to
the Velodrome. Weather (snow/ice) permitting we will take a lap around the
Velodrome and then return back to the Taproom for food and beverages. Note:
the mayor requested a trip to the Velodrome.so that is why we are visiting
there. Also, the president of Marian is more than likely going to be in
attendance on the ride.
. We will have IMPD blocking intersections along the way..so no
stopping.
. If any organizations are interested in being recognized as
sponsors..all you have to do is commit to bring 10 riders for the "lowest"
sponsorship level. I can even envision a friendly competition between
organizations to see who is the most hardcore.
I will have the official information and graphics early next week when I get
it from the Mayor's staff. The Mayor is very excited about this ride.so
please start telling everyone you know.
