Trails in Indiana

Hoosier Rails to Trails Council, Inc.

The mission of Hoosier Rails to Trails Council (HRTC) is to advocate for trails and greenways in Indiana . Accordingly, HRTC advocates for trails generally, rail-trails specifically. As such we also promote and advocates for walking bicycling, and non-motor transportation as well as environmentally wise land use, while building for healthy living and lifestyles.
Since incorporating in July, 1987 as a not-for-profit corporation under the laws of Indiana , HRTC has and continues to serve Hoosiers and non-residents in various ways. We have tracked legislation, promoted bills, defeated bills, helped organize statewide and Midwest trail conferences, and maintain the largest, most complete rail-trail library in the state. We also publish the Hoosier Pathways newsletter 3 to 4 times per year, and we are happy to receive members.
HRTC appreciates support from the public through both memberships and/or donations. For either all we request is your name, mailing address, and either your telephone and e-mail address with any amount you wish to give.
Please note that although donations to HRTC are not tax deductible, donations to HRTC can and have supported lobbying and aspects of public policies for trails and greenways. In addition, HRTC provides office support to many groups, from the Indiana Trails Fund to the B&O Trails Association, Bicycle Indiana, etc.
Please mail your name, addresses, and gift to the HRTC address below.
